Providing solutions for pelvic health concerns at every age and every stage of life

Meet Tara

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Owner of Spera Health Physiotherapy

My passion lies in helping women and children find solutions to their pelvic health concerns.

Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period are hard. As a fellow mom, I get it because I’ve been there. I’m here to try to make it a little easier for you! Whether it’s addressing common physical symptoms that arise such as pelvic pain or leaking, or helping you feel more confident going into birth, I’ve got you.

If you have concerns about your child’s pelvic health, we can work together to find a solution that will support their overall well-being and maintain their physical, emotional, and social development so they can thrive.

Too often I hear “I was told it was normal” or “why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner?”. Just because something may be common doesn’t mean there isn’t a solution for it. I take a holistic, evidence-based approach to care, combined with clinical experience and patient preference, to provide specific solutions for your pelvic health concerns.

I want you to have more comfort and confidence in your journey towards optimal pelvic health for yourself and your child.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

1:1 specialized assessment and treatment of a variety of pelvic health and orthopedic concerns or diagnoses. Sessions are designed to help you understand the root cause of your symptoms with programs developed that are tailored to your individual needs.

Birth Prep 101

This class is for prenatal clients + partners and combines physiotherapy expertise with birth doula support. The goal is to empower you to go into birth feeling strong and confident in your body and have the guidance you deserve for optimal health and recovery postpartum.

Pediatric Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

A specific subset of physiotherapy for children experiencing bowel or bladder dysfunction, or pelvic pain. Sessions are non-invasive and tailored to the specific needs and comfort level of each child.

“I began physio with Tara as a prenatal client for pelvic floor therapy. Tara gave me so many tools and guidance to prepare for child birth as well as postpartum recovery. She was instrumental in preparing my body for labouring at home. After having my child, I completed a return-to-run program with Tara. Her guidance and knowledge helped me through training and eventually, I finished my first race at seven months postpartum. Thank you Tara - you would be a stellar part of anyone's wellness team!”
